Various training courses are conducted in FC training centers of Shabqadar, Hayatabad and Swat to equip the troops to meet the requirements of modern warfare. Moreover, refresher courses are conducted on regular basis to rejuvenate the capabilities of FC personnel. The participation of foreign donors and trainers has been the hallmark of training in the last decade.
It is an eight week course for promotion of Naib Subedars to Subedars. The main focus of this course is on the duties and responsibilities of a Post Commander.
It is a ten week course for promotion of Havildars to Naib Subedars. The primary focus of this course is on the duties and responsibilities of a Platoon Commander. However, considerable emphasis is laid on drill, general knowledge, weapon handling and security measures as well.
It is a twelve week basic course for promotion of Lance Naiks to Naiks and is mandatory for platoon commanders.
It is a sixteen week course for those willing to participate. The requirements are:
1. Minimum education must be matriculation
2. Minimum height must be 5 feet 7 inch
3. Period of service
a. Minimum 3 years
b. Maximum 5 years
Various online courses pertaining to searching of body, buildings, vehicles and containers, spreading awareness relating to organized crimes and usage of latest techniques in fighting militancy are conducted.
